At 26, John Hunter Nemechek is proudly following the footsteps of his father, Joe Nemechek better known as Front Row Joe, and needless to say, since substituting for an injured Matt Tifft in 2019, he has made a name for himself in the Cup Series arena. In 2020, his first full-time season in the Cup, Nemechek showed incredible promise by etching his name as a Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender.
At the age of 16, the Mooresville native emerged victorious in two of the most prestigious Super Late Model races; the All American 400 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway and the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway. Fast forward a couple of years, Nemechek signed a full-time deal in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and started with a win in the second race of 2016 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The following year, he won back-to-back races at World Wide Technology Raceway and Iowa Speedway, which catapulted him to P8 on points.
The young driver has been quite successful in the Xfinity Series as well. After making his Xfinity Series debut in 2018, Nemechek took up the full-time job of wheeling the number 23 Chevy for GMS Racing in 2019 and by the end of the season, he recorded six top-fives, 19 top-10s, which placed him seventh in the final championship point standings. The same year, he got engaged to his girlfriend, Taylor Stier.
Although he did compete full-time in the Cup Series in 2020 as a rookie for Front Row Motorsports, he returned to the Truck Series for two full seasons behind the wheel of a Kyle Busch Motorsports Chevrolet. Nemechek and Taylor welcomed their first child, Aspen, that year itself. Three years later, they welcomed their second child, again a beautiful daughter whom they named Penelope.
How many kids do John Hunter Nemechek and Taylor Stier have?
The lovebirds got hitched in October 2020 at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards in North Garden, Virginia. They welcomed their first daughter, Aspen, in March 2020, and in August 2023, he and his wife announced the birth of their second daughter, Penelope.
