The 38-year-old competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and drives the No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro for JR Motorsports. Allgaier also fills in as a substitute driver for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series.

His achievements include winning the ARCA Re/Max Series title in 2008 followed by claiming the Rookie of the Year title in the NASCAR Nationwide Series in 2009. The top-10 leader in the NASCAR Xfinity Series of all time is also the regular season champion of the 2018 NASCAR Xfinity Series.
