NASCAR is a sport known for its gripping and adrenaline-filled races across Canada and the United States of America. With all the different series combined, NASCAR has more than 30 tracks. In its primary series, NASCAR Cup Series, there are 23 tracks with varied shapes and lengths.
All tracks have a unique texture and composition but are mostly made of asphalt. When it comes to the shape of the track, the tracks offer a varied shape and therefore offer a diverse sense of racing the series.
They are mainly regular and irregular oval shapes with some tracks having a steeped banking. Each of these tracks also has an area off the track, dedicated to team garages for pit stops. This is the pit road and is a key aspect of NASCAR racing.
Tracks in NASCAR can be distinguished into four main types of tracks:
Road courses are tracks that are longer and are basic streets or roads that are used for racing. Short Tracks, as the name suggests, are tracks whose length is less than one mile. Tracks with a length close to or around 1.5 miles are Intermediate Oval Tracks. Tracks, much longer than short and intermediate, with lengths, of more than two miles are Superspeedway tracks.
Here is the list of all the tracks that NASCAR has, now NASCAR has a total of 23 different tracks with their location and length.
