Mark Anthony Martin is a former American stock car racing driver, who primarily competed in the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series from 1981 until 2013. Over his 31-year career in the Cup Series, he participated in 882 races, securing 40 victories, 56 pole positions, and an impressive 453 top-ten finishes. His performance in the Xfinity Series was equally remarkable, with 49 wins, 30 poles, and 152 top-ten finishes in over 230 races. Martin's 49 wins in the Xfinity Series make him the second-most successful driver in the series' history.

Martin has an impressive record of winning some of the major races in the NASCAR Cup Series. He won the Winston 500 at Talladega twice (1995 and 1997), the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway twice (1993 and 2009, 16 years apart), and the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2002. Despite his remarkable career in both the NASCAR Cup Series and the Xfinity Series, Martin never secured a championship title in either series but finished as the runner-up in the Cup Series five times: in the 1990, 1994, 1998, 2002, and 2009 seasons.
