Inaugurated in 1995, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series was established for pickup truck racing. This is the only pickup truck series operated and owned by NASCAR. Primarily competed on short tracks, the series also uses Western United States tracks.
Ranked as one of the top three NASCAR Series, behind the Cup and Xfinity series, 19 different drivers hold the Championship Title. Ron Hornaday Jr. holds the most number of championship titles in the series and is also the oldest driver to win the title.
Kyle Busch, a part-time driver in the 2024 season, holds the record for the most wins with 65 race wins. The defending champion is Ben Rhodes who won his second championship in 2023. This win for the driver also marked the fifth championship title for owner Duke Thorson.
