The NASCAR Xfinity Series is the base of the NASCAR racing ladder and serves as the second-tier series beneath the premier NASCAR Cup Series. The Xfinity Series was established in 1982, providing stock cars that were slightly less powerful than their counterparts in the Cup Series, so their racing was at a level of competition where both seasoned and rookie drivers could be part of the race. Many drivers currently racing in the Cup Series have come through the Xfinity Series. The races are held on tracks that host events in the Cup Series, making it the best Cup and Xfinity action all season.

The 2024 season is the 43rd season of the most prestigious racing event, the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The season began on February 19, 2024, with the United Rentals 300 at Daytona International Speedway, and ended on November 9, 2024, when the championship race will be held at Phoenix Raceway. Justin Allgaier won his first championship in 2024 placing second in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship Race. The teams are composed of full-timers and part-timers, and the drivers compete to win both the individual and team championships. The 2024 season was expanded to 33 races, including marquee events at the iconic tracks of Talladega Superspeedway and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The playoff format involved a regular season followed by elimination rounds that led to the Championship Four. The 2024 Championship Race was competed between Justin Allgaier, Cole Custer, AJ Allmendinger and Austin Hill.

JR Motorsports won the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship with Justin Allgaier. They were followed by Joe GIbbs Racing, Kaulig Racing and Richard Childress Racing in the second, third and fourth positions respectively.
