Josh Berry's introduction to the Cup Series in 2025 left Harrison Burton's future in doubt. Burton, the son of former NASCAR driver Jeff Burton, now has to give up his Wood Brothers Racing seat. With that said, what are his potential landing spots in 2025?

As per the latest developments, Wood Brothers Racing decided to bring in Josh Berry as a full-timer for the 2025 Cup Series season. Berry is set to drive Burton's #21 Ford Mustang. As Berry's career path took an unpredictable turn, it has now left Burton without a seat for next year.

However, three possible destinations could open up for the 23-year-old.

#1 Haas Factory Team

Following the planned shutdown of Stewart-Haas Racing at the end of the 2024 season, Gene Haas announced his intention to continue in NASCAR. He revealed that he wanted to continue as a team owner and formed Haas Factory Racing.

The Haas Factory Team would operate in both Cup and Xfinity Series. It was earlier reported that Cole Custer, SHR's current Xfinity driver, would become the HFT's Cup driver. This move would vacate a place, and Burton, with all his Cup Series and Xfinity Series experience, could become an interesting addition.

#2 AM Racing

AM Racing is in the news of late after they have decided to drop Hailie Deegan for the upcoming Chicago Xfinity race and replace her with Joey Logano. Deegan reportedly has had an underwhelming season so far, as AMR opted to put her out in favor of Nashville's Ally 400 winner, Logano.

While Deegan can still keep her drive till the end of this season, chatters within the sport do not see her make it the next season. This could open up a vacancy for Harrison Burton to hop on and grab the opportunity.

#3 Joe Gibbs Racing

A spot in Joe Gibbs Racing's Cup Series roster might be out of reach for Harrison Burton, a switch back to Xfinity could surely do the work.

Burton, during his Xfinity stint with JGR, recorded four race wins in 2020 and eight back-to-back points finishes. He could use all his expertise and experience of JGR and return to Joe Gibbs-owned team in 2025 and try his luck.

Is there any spot left for Harrison Burton in the Cup Series?

Besides all the talks about Harrison Burton's move to the Xfinity Series, two teams could be a possible destination for the 23-year-old. One is Kaulig Racing, while the other is Rick Ware Racing.

A. J. Allmendinger, Josh Williams, Derek Kraus, Shane van Gisbergen, Ty Dillon, and Daniel Hamric race for Kaulig Racing in the Cup Series. However, the team is still to announce their drivers for the 2025 season.

RWR, another Ford-powered team, is yet to announce its roster as well. Despite every possibility, Harrison Burton needs to make sure he has sponsors to back him up before he can think of joining a Cup Series team.
