#2 Chase Elliott vs Denny Hamlin (2021)

In the 2021 Xfinity 500, JGR driver Denny Hamlin was in a close battle for the lead with HMS driver Alex Bowman. With 10 laps remaining, Hamlin's #11 Toyota spun off as he tried to move past Bowman on the outside line, ending his chances to win at Martinsville.

Former Cup Series champions Elliott and Kevin Harvick had a heated confrontation following the Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. Elliott, the defending champion driving the #9 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports, suffered a punctured tire on lap 464 after contact with Harvick’s #4 Ford, forcing an unscheduled pit stop.
