Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife Amy Reimann recently appeared on his podcast, offering a glimpse into their life at home. During the episode, Dale Jr. narrated how he persuaded Amy to buy a houseboat and the hilarious name they settled on.

Dale Jr. had been window shopping for a houseboat, having previously owned one. When he came across a 2002 Gibson houseboat in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he made the impulsive decision to purchase it. However, his wife Amy was not onboard the decision to purchase a houseboat.

Dale Jr., worth $300 million (via Celebrity Net Worth), decided to put his wife's name on the title of the houseboat to nudge her into liking it. Amy suggested naming the boat "She Said No" to signify that the purchase was not her idea. The couple ultimately agreed on the name and shared the story about the houseboat on the Dale Jr. Download podcast.

"The houseboat we had was just a party pad. This is more like a family boat. So Sonny goes and looks at it and sends me all these videos of the boat running, inside, and all that, and there's little things that need to get fixed. I paid too much money for it, it's probably not worth what I paid." Dale Jr. said.
"And so to force Amy to like it I made her put her name on the title... Amy came up with a great name for the boat: She said No!" he added.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Amy have been married for seven years and are parents to Isla and Nicole. In the recent episode, the couple provided glimpses into life at the Earnhardt household and played the 'Newlywed game', revealing some interesting and hilarious details about one another.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife comments on the houseboat

In the recent episode of the Dale Jr. Download podcast, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Amy discussed the purchase of the above-mentioned houseboat. While Dale Jr. suggested both of them had agreed on the purchase, Amy clarified that it wasn't a joint decision.

After her husband cheekily suggested that her name was on the title, Amy explained that she was manipulated and still wasn't fond of the boat. She said on the podcast:

"So, we have this boat that Dale bought. I said no, but Dale bought it anyway…[about her name on the title]. That doesn’t mean I have anything to do with the choice of this boat. It was a ploy and a manipulation tactic…and I still have disdain for the boat." [at 5:48]

Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife also revealed that the boat stank and had a microwave decades older than the boat itself. Despite its quirks, she reckons the project is heading in the right direction.

"I walk in [and I'm] talking to myself constantly, trying to talk myself into loving it. I'm like this damn boat, it still stinks'...It's got some quirks, but it's going in the right direction," she added.
