Reaume Brothers Racing has recently tapped actor-turned-driver Frankie Muniz to compete in three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races in 2024. Muniz, who had previously wheeled the #30 Mustang for Rette Jones Racing in the ARCA Menards Series, is best known for playing the lead role in the early 2000s Fox sitcom, 'Malcolm in the Middle.'
According to Celebrity Net Worth, the two-time Golden Globe Award nominee has a net worth of $40 million. Besides being an actor and a driver, Muniz also served as the drummer for an indie rock band, Kingsfoil, from 2012 to 2014.
Frankie Muniz took to open-wheels for the first time while competing in the Atlantic championship in 2008. After over a decade of hiatus from racing, he made his stock car debut at Kevin Harvick's Kern County Raceway in 2021.
Muniz joined Rette Jones Racing in 2023 as a full-time driver in the ARCA Menards Series and finished fourth in the final point standings, besides picking up one top-5 and 11 top-10s. The NASCAR driver is now set to debut in trucks this year. Elated at the opportunity, the 38-year-old said, as reported by Jayski,
"I’m really excited to begin my NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series career with Reaume Brothers Racing. I visited the shop a few weeks ago, and I am very impressed with what all Josh (Reaume) has done to elevate his program. Being able to align myself with a program that is growing rapidly will only further elevate my performance behind the wheel."
Frankie Muniz will begin his Truck Series career as the number 22 Ford F-150 driver. His first race is the Rackley Roofing 200 at Nashville Superspeedway on Friday, June 28. He will also run the UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway on September 19 and the Truck Series playoff race at Kansas Speedway on September 27.
Reaume Brothers Racing adds Muniz to their ARCA Menards Series program
Apart from his three-race schedule in the Truck Series, Frankie Muniz is also slated to drive in one ARCA Menards Series race in 2024. However, this season, he will drive for Reaume Brothers Racing instead of Rette Jones Racing. Although not a full-time ride, Muniz's one-time appearance at Michigan could benefit the team immensely.
In a recent interview, Josh Reaume, owner of Reaume Brothers Racing, reflected on the same and said,
"Frankie brings a very unique opportunity to our race team in both his relationship with Ford Performance and his identity away from the racetrack. We are excited to expand our relationship with Ford and also leverage on Frankie’s popularity to attract more partnerships and expand our racing schedule over time."
Besides his titular role in 'Malcolm in the Middle', Frankie Muniz has also starred in several movies like 'Agent Cody Banks' (2003), 'Big Fat Liar' (2002), and 'Racing Stripes' (2005).
