Brad Keselowski was reminded of his early days in NASCAR. Today, he is known as one of the most prominent athletes in the sport. However, when he first moved to Mooresville, he was just a 24-year-old man, looking forward to making it big in NASCAR.

Brad Keselowski was born on February 12, 1984 in Rochester Hills, Michigan. He spent his teenage days mopping his father's race shop and mowing the grass around it. In 2000, Keselowski started driving stock cars. The same year, he won the Factory Stocks class season title at Auto City Speedway.

Keselowski competed in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series from 2004 to 2006. He joined Penske Racing (now known as Team Penske) in 2010, winning the NASCAR Nationwide Series in his first year with the team. Two years later, Keselowski won his first Cup Series championship.

Keselowski, who was in his twenties back then, lived in a newly acquired, minimalistic apartment in Mooresville, North Carolina. When a user on X (formerly known as Twitter) posted a photo of his living room, Keselowski was reminded of his days of struggle in NC, the heart of NASCAR.

Reposting the photo, Keselowski wrote:

"Age 24. Just moved to Mooresville.Trade out the surfboard for an RC car."

Spotting a sniper rifle in the room, a fan was curious if Keselowski too had one at his place.

"You had a sniper rifle?" the fan asked.
"Never know when zombie apocalypse is gonna happen,' was Keselowski's hilarious response.

Today, Brad Keselowski flaunts a net worth of $45 million as per Celebrity Net Worth. He currently lives in Mooresville with his wife Paige and daughters, Scarlett and Autumn. Keselowski competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series driving the No. 6 Ford Mustang for RFK Racing, a two-car race team that he co-owns.

Brad Keselowski not ready to quit despite heartbreaking playoff run

Brad Keselowski qualified for the playoffs this year when he won the Goodyear 400 at Darlington Raceway on May 12, 2024. However, he fell out of contention after finishing 26th at Bristol Motor Speedway last week. The veteran racer did not advance to the Round of 12, which will kick off at Kansas Speedway on September 29.

Nevertheless, Keselowski remains hungry for his second championship title. Hoping to come back stronger next year, Keselowski tweeted,

"Although I’m disappointed in our championship run, every challenge is an opportunity to come back stronger. Still hungry for another win this season... The journey isn’t over yet. #6NeverQuits"

Keselowski has the opportunity to deliver his second win of the season and 37th of his career over the next few weeks. Fans can watch him in action on NBC and USA this coming Sunday from 3 PM ET onwards. Radio updates on the 267-lap race, i.e., the Hollywood Casino 400, will be available on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
