Kelley Earnhardt, older sister of retired NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr., took to social media to share a powerful message. The co-owner of Jr. Motorsports shared a post that expresses the importance of reaching out to the people around you who matter.
In an Instagram post by a user with the handle @actionhappiness, the account posted a photo of a sign that read:
"Make a habit of reaching out to people just because they crossed your mind."
Earnhardt, who's worth $50 million according to Celebrity Net Worth, reposted the photo to her personal Instagram story to share with her 55,000-plus followers.
The message from the daughter of the late seven-time Cup Series champion Dale Earnhardt comes a few days after a triumphant night for Jr. Motorsports. In Saturday night's Xfinity Series season finale race at the Phoenix Raceway, Justin Allgaier placed second in the event and outran the other three Championship 4 drivers to claim his first career Xfinity Series championship. Allgaier captured the title in his 14th full-time Xfinity Series season and in his ninth season with Jr. Motorsports.
Jr. Motorsports fields three other full-time Xfinity Series cars with Sammy Smith, Sam Mayer and Brandon Jones behind the wheel. Smith drove his #8 car to a victory at the Talladega Superspeedway in October and made it to the Round of 8. He finished 11th in the final standings. Mayer piloted the #1 car to three wins this season at Texas, Iowa and the Charlotte Roval and finished ninth in the final standings. Jones, meanwhile, missed out on the playoffs in the #9 and failed to win a race. He finished 14th in the final standings.
Kelley Earnhardt gave longtime broadcaster Rick Allen a farewell message ahead of his retirement
Kelley Earnhardt was active on social media a few days back when it was known that NBC Sports racing broadcaster Rick Allen will no longer be calling NASCAR races after a lengthy career in the broadcast booth.
As a show of respect, Earnhardt took to her personal X account to share her gratitude for Allen's work over the last two decades. She wrote:
“One of the best. You will be missed @RickAllenracing”
Earnhardt's brother, Dale Earnhardt Jr., joined Allen in the NBC booth from 2018-2023. The 26-time Cup Series winner will continue his broadcast career when he joins the TNT/Amazon Prime team in 2025.
Earnhardt continues to play a prominent role at Jr. Motorsports since its move to the Xfinity Series in 2008, when the organization merged with Hendrick Motorsports. Jr. Motorsports has tallied four Xfinity Series championships, one with Allgaier, the others with Chase Elliott, William Byron and Tyler Reddick.
