AJ Allmendinger's wife, Tara Allmendinger, recently shared an interesting update where their son, Aero, was in charge of their vehicle! Yes, you read it right, the toddler son of the Allmendingers 'drove' the Chevrolet the couple was in as they headed for the Christmas lights lately.
Sharing an update about their son, Tara Allmendinger recently took to her official Instagram account to share how Aero was 'driving' them to the Christmas lights. She wrote:
"Aero is driving us to the Christmas lights at the Speedway."
Here's a screen grab of Tara Allmendinger's Instagram story:
Interestingly, it wasn't their one-year-old boy who was driving. He sat on his father, AJ Allmendinger's lap, and had his hands on the steering wheel. The Allmendinger couple have been using the off-season to their fullest, as they gear up to celebrate Christmas.
AJ and Tara Allmendinger have a son together, Aero, who was born in September 2023. The child was born after four years of their marriage. Tara is Allmendinger's second wife after the NASCAR Cup Series driver parted ways with his first wife, Lynne Kushnirenko in 2012.
Seven years later, in 2019, AJ got married to his longtime girlfriend Tara Meador. In December 2024, they will celebrate their fifth marriage anniversary. They have a French Bulldog named Xena and previously also had a cat named Mr. Tickles, who passed away.
AJ Allmendinger's wife makes her feelings known after son Aero 'graduated' from his cranial helmet
AJ Allmendinger's wife Tara Allmendinger took to her official Instagram account to share some good news about their son, Aero. Mrs. Allmendinger revealed that their toddler son 'graduated' from his cranial helmet, a special, custom-fitted headgear that helps correct irregular head shapes in babies. Aero had been diagnosed with Saggital Craniosynostosis at birth and had to undergo surgery but the headgear helped accelerate his recovery gradually.
Here's what she said:
"He did it! It’s official: Aero has graduated from his @docband helmet from Cranial Technologies. We are so grateful for all the care and support we’ve received. Last year, AJ and I were scared, sick, and losing sleep over the thought of our three-month-old undergoing surgery. Aero was born with Saggital Craniosynostosis and had to undergo an endoscopic strip craniectomy—basically, surgery to remove a fused suture on the top of his skull."
"After surgery, he wore three helmets for several months. The helmets molded his head to shape and allowed for normal brain growth. I can report everything turned out fantastic. God’s timing and plan are truly perfect," she added.
Aero's father, AJ Allmendinger, is all set to race full-time in the Cup Series in 2025. He will race for Kaulig Racing after completing his full-time Xfinity Series stint this season.
