One Cup Series driver reportedly wasn't pleased with Daniel Suarez in Sunday's Bank of America ROVAL 400 at the Charlotte Roval. After an anonymous quote criticizing the driver of the #99 Trackhouse Racing Chevrolet was brought to light on social media, fans speculated who it was.

Jordan Bianchi, a motorsports insider for The Athletic, posted an in-race quote from an unidentified driver on X as Sunday's race was unfolding. The anonymous driver was allegedly unhappy with how the Mexican-born driver was racing them. They said:

"OK, you can tell the 99 (Suarez) he's done. F***ing d***head. ... How many laps left in this sh** show?"

This sparked interest from fans on who it could've been that was angered by this year's Atlanta winner. One fan joked about the mysterious nature of the comment, writing:

"Ahhh keeping it cryptic. SMH."

Another fan suggested the words came from the defending Cup Series champion, simply writing:

"Blaney."

A few other fans claimed that it was Ryan Blaney who was frustrated with Daniel Suarez and felt the driver of the #12 Team Penske Ford has a tendency to overreact.

"Name a driver who whines more than Blaney when they get raced. Has to be one of the worst champions this sport has had," a fan wrote.
"Blaney cries and whines more than anybody else out there," another wrote.

A few other fans felt the anonymous comments towards Suarez were justified.

"I mean Suarez races that way every race it is getting really annoying," a fan wrote.
"He's not wrong," said another.

Daniel Suarez was eliminated from the NASCAR playoffs after the Charlotte Roval

Essentially needing a victory to advance to the Round of 8, Daniel Suarez left the Charlotte Roval empty-handed as he failed to advance in the Cup Series playoffs. The 32-year-old posted a win at Atlanta in the second race of the season and advanced to the Round of 12 after a strong first three races of the playoffs.

Suarez recorded a 13th-place finish in the opening race of the Round of 12 at Kansas. His teammate, Ross Chastain, went on to win the race for his first victory this season. The driver of the #1 failed to make the playoffs this season, unlike Suarez.

Despite crashing in the first stage in the second race of the round at Talladega, Suarez managed to keep his car on-track for the entire 188-lap event. However, he made little ground on the field as he settled to finish 26th.

On Sunday, Suarez finished 30th and failed to accumulate any stage points, leading to his elimination. Alex Bowman, Austin Cindric, and Chase Briscoe were also eliminated.
