NASCAR driver AJ Allmendinger's wife uploaded a post on her Instagram with her husband and son Aero as she updated her followers about the youngster experiencing snowfall for the first time. Tara Allmendinger shared the post on January 10, 2025, and uploaded six pictures.
AJ Allmendinger held son Aero in his arms in all of the uploaded pictures as he dressed up in a black Celcius hoodie. Celcius was the NASCAR driver's primary sponsor for the 2024 Cup Series season. Tara flaunted a golden winter jacket paired with a chequered trapper hat. The caption of the post read:
“It's snowing!! First snow for Aero.”
While the parents were dressed appropriately for the weather, Aero weathered out the snow in a white shirt and green shorts. However, this concerned a lot of followers and AJ Allmendinger's wife made an edit to her caption revealing why Aero was in summer clothes. She wrote:
“Edit: so people will STOP asking where his clothes are. Aero was outside for max 75 seconds to get the photo and the video. It was oddly calm with no wind. He hates sleeves and coats. He didn't like the snow and we didn't put him in it. We know he needs clothes IF he were to play outside! AJ and Aero went back inside and I returned to the work I was doing outside in the garage.”
AJ Allmendinger raced as a part-timer in the Cup series and is a full-timer in the Xfinity Series for the 2024 season. The California native ended the 2024 Xfinity season 3rd in the championship and has previously raced in the IndyCar championship in the 2000s.
Allmendinger met his wife through Tara’s sister, who was a friend of the NASCAR driver. The couple got married in December 2019 and Aero was born four years later in September 2023.
When AJ Allmendinger’s wife posted an update on social media about her son graduating from his cranial helmet
Aero was diagnosed with Sagittal Craniosynostosis, a rare condition that leads to segments of the skull fusing prematurely when he was just three months old. AJ Allmendinger's son had to go through surgery for the same and had to wear a cranial helmet since. However, he "graduated" from the helmet in December 2024 and Tara Allmendinger posted an update on social media expressing her relief.
Tara Allmendinger posted a reel with clips from her son’s final checkup before the helmet was removed. The caption read:
“He did it! It’s official: Aero has graduated from his @docband helmet from Cranial Technologies. We are so grateful for all the care and support we’ve received. Last year, AJ and I were scared, sick, and losing sleep over the thought of our three-month-old undergoing surgery.”
“After surgery, he wore three helmets for several months. The helmets molded his head to shape and allowed for normal brain growth. I can report everything turned out fantastic. God’s timing and plan are truly perfect,” she added.
AJ Allmendinger's wife uploads multiple pictures of and with her husband and son Aero, with the most recent picture being the father-son duo making similar funny faces for the camera.
