NASCAR Xfinity Series driver AJ Allmendinger’s wife Tara shared a post about teaching small children to call their mother when yelling for help in public.
Allmendinger, who is moving full-time to the NASCAR Cup Series for Kaulig Racing next year, is married to Tara Meador Allmendinger. The two tied the knot in December five years ago and are parents to Aero James.
Tara, who is active on social media with over 20 thousand followers, shared a post on Instagram that made an argument to educate kids to say "MOM."
"Women instinctively when they hear 'MOM!'"
The original post gave five reasons and explained that "MOM!" can get a quicker and stronger response because it triggers a protective instinct in women.
"Hearing someone yell “MOM!” in a crowded place is unusual and might stand out more than the common “HELP!” It can shock people into paying attention and responding quickly. This tactic works because it breaks through people’s tendency to avoid involvement and speaks directly to a protective instinct," the post reads.
Additionally, it pointed out that "MOM!" stands out more than a general cry for help.
"You know, you only live once" - on AJ Allmendinger racing to support family
AJ Allmendinger will race full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series for Kaulig Racing next year. He recently talked about his passion for racing and how he plans to keep driving as long as he can to support his family.
"They keep asking me, 'Well, how long do you want to do this?' I'm like, 'I'll be honest, if it's going well, and you believe in me, and you think I can still do the job, and we're getting better, I'll keep doing it for as long as possible. You know, you only live once. I've been paid to drive race cars for 22 years. So, part of having Aero James and my wife, Tara, is that this is my way of providing for the family," AJ Allmendinger said.
AJ and Tara's son was born in September last year but had to undergo brain surgery in December for a rare condition, Craniosynostosis.
"Becoming parents has been our greatest adventure. Our son Aero was born with craniosynostosis, a congenital disability that affects 1 in 2500 babies. He needed surgery to remove prematurely fused bone from his skull at three and a half months old; my husband and I were brand new parents, absolutely terrified," Tara said in June.
This season, AJ Allmendinger made it to the Championship Four in the Xfinity Series and finished third in points.
