After Joey Logano and Josh Berry, AM Racing has teamed up with Lawless Alan for the #15 Xfinity race car. The California-based driver is the third to pilot the #15 car after Hailie Deegan's mid-season departure.
AM Racing and their former #15 driver Deegan had a rocky start to the 2024 Xfinity Series season. Despite best efforts, the duo were unable to yield favorable results. Deegan's best finish in the #15 Ford Mustang came at the Talladega Superspeedway (12th position). With no Top 5 and Top 10 finishes this year, AM Racing decided to part ways with the Temecula-based racer mid-season.
Since then, Cup Series drivers Joey Logano and Josh Berry have filled in for Deegan in the last three races at Chicago, Pocono Raceway, and Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Now, the team has roped in Lawless Alan as a third driver for the #15 car in the last six races before the 2024 Playoffs.
Unlike the previous drivers, Alan is making his debut in the Xfinity Series at the upcoming race at Michigan International Speedway. This news was shared by Motorsports Wire's senior NASCAR journalist Austin Konenski on both the website as well as his personal X page.

Lawless Alan will drive the No. 15 car for AM Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Michigan International Speedway next weekend. It will be Alan’s debut in the Xfinity Series.
As of now, Alan is currently competing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Reaume Brothers Racing.
A brief look at Lawless Alan's Truck Series season so far, ahead of his Xfinity debut with AM Racing
Lawless Alan is set to replace Josh Berry in the #15 AM Racing Ford Mustang. Apart from his Xfinity Series debut, the 24-year-old also has one race remaining in the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular season.
Alan began his fourth Truck Series season this year. Driving for Reaume Brothers Racing, the young Californian racer has had a rough start. He finished out of the Top 10s in the first five races this season (32nd at Daytona, 12th at Atlanta Motor Speedway, 23rd in Las Vegas, 27th at Bristol Motor Speedway, and 33rd at COTA).
The highlights of Alan's 2024 season were the races at Texas Motor Speedway, Darlington Raceway, and Atlanta Motor Speedway, where he scored 26, 25, and 25, respectively.
The results have been consistent in 15 races so far. With no Top 10 finishes, Alan currently stands in 25th position in a field of 67 drivers in the 2024 season. Despite an overall average performance in the Truck Series, AM Racing has offered Alan a seat for the last six races in the 2024 Xfinity Series.
With no possibility of making it to the Truck Series Playoffs this year, Lawless Alan will likely be focusing on making the most of his time with AM Racing.
