Retired NASCAR star Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife, Amy Earnhardt, had a humorous exchange regarding Christmas gifts on a recent episode of the former's podcast. This sparked many comments from fans, including one that Amy responded to.
On an episode of The Dale Jr. Download, the two-time Daytona 500 champion asked his wife what she wanted for Christmas. Amy responded by saying:
"I want jewelry, his arch nemesis," Amy said.
Earnhardt went on to say during Christmastime in the past, he'd surf the web in search of something he'd like, and in turn, Amy would like it as well. Humorously, Earnhardt said that was the issue.

An example of something Earnhardt has gotten his wife in the past is an Amazon charcuterie board. Amy jokingly said she's never had use for such a gift and her husband could've realized that had he paid attention.
"Have you not seen what's in the kitchen? Have you ever seen one of those floating around in here? Do I serve that s*** to you? No," Amy Earnhardt added.
Earnhardt defended his position by noting they make a charcuterie board every Thanksgiving. However, Amy responded by saying she actually makes the food rather than it be purchased from a store. Earnhardt playfully defended himself again by saying:
"Well here you go, it's already done," Dale said. "Everybody on Amazon said it was great."
This led to a race fan sarcastically explaining how he attempts to get his wife a Christmas gift, but ultimately, she never likes it. In reply, Amy encouraged the user to keep trying.
"cmon man don't give up!" she wrote.
Amy Earnhardt recently shared potential Christmas card picture of her two daughters
The Earnhardts are in the Christmas spirit in more ways than one. In an Instagram stories post, Amy Earnhardt shared photos of her and Dale's two daughters, Isla and Nicole, decked out in Christmas attire.
In the photo, Isla and Nicole can be seen sitting in the back of a pickup truck wearing Christmas hats and Christmas outfits. The two also held candy canes in their hands. Amy teased that the photo was of enough quality that it could make a Christmas card this year.
"Might be our Christmas card pic," she wrote.
Dale and Amy got married on New Year's Eve in 2016. On April 30, 2018, the couple welcomed Isla, their first daughter. On October 12, 2020, Dale and Amy welcomed, Nicole, the couple's second daughter.
Since retiring from full-time NASCAR competition after the 2017 season, Earnhardt has ventured into the broadcasting side of the sport. He was a color commentator for NBC Sports from 2018-2023 and is set to join the Amazon/TNT Sports broadcast team in 2025.
