Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s wife Amy appeared on a recent episode of the Dale Jr Download podcast and revealed what the Earnhardts would be wearing for this year’s Halloween. Costumes have been decided for everyone except for the NASCAR Hall of Famer.

Dale Jr.’s youngest daughter Nicole, who turned four this month, has chosen to be a minion, which Amy thought was 'fitting' for her. On the other hand, Earnhardt Jr.’s elder daughter, six-year-old Isla, opted for a funky costume straight from 'Descendants,' a 2015 movie by Disney.

“Nicole wants to be a minion.” Amy said (via Dirty Mo Media on X). “That's very fitting for her. Isla wants to do Descendants, which is like real people pretending to be princesses and it's kind of funky as far as their outfits; they don't look quintessentially like the princesses and the villains.”

Amy will dress up as Maleficent, the title character in the 2014 movie, starring Angelina Jolie. The only Earnhardt left to choose an outfit is Dale Earnhardt Jr. himself.

“I'm not sure what Dale might be. We could end up trying to dress him up like Captain Hook,” Amy added.

The return of the famed No. 8 Budweiser Chevrolet later this year is officially confirmed. Needless to say, Dale Earnhardt Jr. is the talk of the town. The veteran racer drove the car to 17 victories during his time at Dale Earnhardt Inc., a race team formed and previously owned by his legendary father, Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. reveals original plans behind recent lucrative merch sellout

Since JR Motorsports announced the revival of the No. 8 machine last week, sales of the #8 merchandise have hit a boom. However, Dale Earnhardt Jr. had not planned on selling just merchandise. His plans with the iconic car were something greater.

“When we thought about doing something with it, we were like, ‘Man I don’t want to just make merch’, said Dale Earnhardt Jr. in an episode of his podcast (via Dirty Mo Media on X). “But if we raced the car, then I would feel comfortable with the merch. That’s what got us talking to Budweiser about it.” (0:40)

Budweiser sponsored Earnhardt Jr.’s ride from 1999 until 2007. He left his father’s team in 2008 when his stepmother Teresa Earnhardt denied giving him ownership of the team. Earnhardt Jr. then took over the No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports car and drove it until he retired from full-time racing in 2017.

But the itch to race never subsided in the two-time Xfinity Series champion. Since his formal retirement, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been competing in at least one race every year in the Xfinity Series under the banner of JR Motorsports, a team jointly owned by Dale Jr., his sister Kelley Earnhardt Miller, and Rick Hendrick of Hendrick Motorsport. His most recent race was at Bristol Motor Speedway in September, where he delivered a P7 finish.
