RFK Racing driver and co-owner Brad Keselowski is set to start his 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season with his former Team Penske crew chief Jeremy Bullins. The driver-crew chief duo made a mark in two seasons (2020 and 2021) and finished runner-up in NASCAR's premier division's 2020 final drivers' standings.
This reunion was announced after Keselowski's previous crew chief Matt McCall parted ways with the No. 6 Ford Mustang and joined Spire Motorsports as the Director of Vehicle Performance. As a result, Keselowski roped in Bullins to build on their previous partnership that saw five wins, 23 top fives, and 41 top 10s across two seasons.
Speaking with Sirius XM NASCAR Radio, Bullins recently shared his thoughts on the opportunity presented by the 2012 Cup Series champion Keselowski and his love for serving as a crew chief, ditching management roles. He said (via their official X handle):
"There's generally opportunities, you know, some of the opportunities that were presented to me were management type roles, you know, within the sport and with other other teams and in different things like that. But for me, it's, you know, I don't know. There's a big part of me that, you know, being a crew chief on a cup team was always the dream job, right?"
"Like, you know, kids, the analogy that I gave a couple people was, you know, kids grew up want to be astronauts or firemen or whatever. And I wanted to crew chief a cup car. So I'm doing what I've always wanted to do," he added.
After Brad Keselowski left Team Penske in 2021, Bullins continued calling shots for Austin Cindric in the No. 2 Ford before switching to No. 21 of Wood Brothers Racing.
Furthermore, Bullins said:
"I really looked at this opportunity as an opportunity to be successful with Brad again. We were able to win some races and have good points finishes and do all those things. And just kind of felt like we could try to build that again."
