In a recent episode of his podcast, The Dale Jr. Download, former NASCAR Cup Series driver and JR Motorsports owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. was back with another one of his crazy stories. He shared the time when he went to Las Vegas with his co-host TJ Majors on Halloween and had an amazing time. He dressed up as one of the American classic movie characters.

Dale Jr. highlighted in the episode that they were in their hotel room relaxing and watching "Reservoir Dogs" around eight or ten in the night. Suddenly, Earnhardt Jr. thought about dressing up as the Reservoir Dogs lead characters for Halloween and said:

"Wait, we could be Reservoir Dogs. That'd be easy just buying suits, right? So we went down to the men's warehouse. We all bought matching suits, and then we went over to the pawn shop and bought some gun holsters and stuff like that. Had us all name tags, made Mr. Orange, Mr. Brown, all that, and got us the sunglasses. We all have the same sunglasses."

Dale Earnhardt Jr. also mentioned that the duo had no intention of staying in Las Vegas on Halloween; it was a coincidence. After dressing up, they went to the casino to hang out and have some drinks. While they had their drinks, a casino concierge asked them if they wanted to take part in the game, and Dale Jr. said that TJ Majors entered the event.

Reservoir Dogs is a crime thriller movie from the 90s directed by Quentin Tarantino known for its on-screen violence. The character of Mr. Brown was played by Quentin Tarantino and Mr. Orange by Tim Roth.

Earnhardt Jr. and Majors were in the top three and earned $2,000 in the contest. He further highlighted that he learned that all the big bars and clubs have contests, and they finished third in one of them.

TJ Majors and Dale Earnhardt Jr. rekindled for the Xfinity race at Bristol

Dale Earnhardt Jr. made his first appearance in the 2024 Xfinity Seris in the Food City 300 race held at Bristol Motor Speedway on September 21, 2024, and finished in a solid P7, but this was just the tip of the iceberg. His maiden race was filled with struggles, and he opened up about the challenges he faced during the race in the episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast with his spotter, TJ Majors.

The former Cup Series driver hasn't been lucky on the track. Last year a fire in his cockpit made him finish out of the top 19, and this year, a broken radio got in his way of finishing in the top five. However, the team recovered from the issue in the 96th lap of the 300-lap race at NASCAR's fastest one-mile track.

TJ Major mentioned that the race was not 'fun' to begin with and said:

"We had problems in practice with the radios and I guess they thought they fixed it," Majors recalled in the podcast. "They definitely didn't fix it. It ended up being multiple things. Ending up being where it connects from the helmet to the harness...honestly, to do everything we did and not lose a lap...I thought the guys did a really good job of being prepared for all that swapping helmets, swapping harnesses, radios, push-to-talk buttons."

He added:

"It wasn't fun to be involved in it at the time, but I'm sure it was entertaining as hell for everyone that was watching and listening."

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will not race the iconic #88 Chevy in the 2025 Xfinity Series season and focus on his broadcasting career with TNT Sports and Amazon Prime. However, he hinted at a comeback in the 2026 season.
