Ahead of the Ally 400 race this weekend, Brad Keselowski has shared his opinion on the Chicago Street Circuit. The Michigan-based driver explained the coolest part of racing on Chicago's streets to senior NASCAR journalist Bob Pockrass.
The conversation between Keselowski and Pockrass took place on a variety of subjects, from patriotism to curiosity to education. The interaction between the duo began with the former sharing his views on patriotism. Keselowski opened up on why he deems gratitude important and shared his perspective on gathering knowledge about civilization. He also added that he feels the country is perfect.
Moving on from Keselowski's views on patriotism, Pockrass questioned the #6 RFK Racing driver on what he finds cool about the iconic Chicago street track.
Keselowski jokingly replied:
"I think the coolest part was being able to walk from your hotel to the racetrack"(0:40 onwards).
Here's a look at Bob Pockrass's X post, captioned:
"Brad Keselowski on why he is patriotic, what it is like racing on the streets of Chicago, his tendency to question everything and what he says when asked in business meetings if he has a college degree."
Keselowski further added:
"To be in a city that drive off of, uh, I can see it's turn six or turn seven where you can see the skyline. Uh, it's a really unique and, and, uh, incredible experience." (0:45 onwards)
Keselowski and Pockrass also spoke about education, where the 2012 Cup Series Champion jokingly spoke about having a degree in GSD or Google Search Degree.
Here's a brief look at Brad Keselowski's 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season with RFK Racing so far
After missing out on the Playoff finale in 2023, Brad Keselowski began the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series on a positive note. The RFK Racing driver ended the first two races of the season in the top 10s (eighth in Busch Light Clash and seventh in Duel 2 at DAYTONA).
However, Keselowski was unable to finish higher than 13th in the next three races at Daytona International Speedway, Atlanta Motor Speedway, and Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Since then, he has had a rollercoaster-like season.
The highlights of Keselowski's season were the races at Darlington Raceway, Texas Motor Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway, Charlotte Motor Speedway, World Wide Technology Raceway, and Bristol Motor Speedway where he finished in the top three places. These allowed the Michigan-based to amass a total of 278 points.
Now, ahead of the Grant Park 165 race weekend, Keselowski is currently standing in ninth position in the driver's championship, with one win, nine top 10s, seven top 5s, and two DNFs. With a total of 531 points, the 2012 Cup Series and 2010 Xfinity Series Champion is 133 points adrift from the current leader Kyle Larson of Hendrick Motorsports.
