The co-owner of the Roush Fenway Racing team, Brad Keselowski, is anticipated to pay tribute to former NASCAR driver Mark Martin. A long-time driver for the Roush Fenway Racing team, Martin raced for 19 years using car #6.
Mark Martin might not have had any NASCAR Cup Series wins to his name. He, however, managed to finish in the top five on 12 occasions, including seven top-five finishes in a row. Keselowski wanted to recognize Martin's career by running the latter's livery on car #6, which the former has used since 2004.
The NASCAR Cup Series champion went ahead on his Twitter account to acknowledge Mark Martin stating that:
“Over the years the No. 6 has had many great drivers, including @markmartin. I’m excited to honor Mark this year by running his 2004 paint scheme at Darlington. Thanks for the opportunity @SociosMS”
Earlier a part of Team Penske, Brad Keselowski left to work with the Roush Fenway Racing team after being offered a good deal where he has performed well. Up to January 2022, he has been able to motivate the team by having 35 Cup Series victories and 39 Xfinity Series Victories.
Has Brad Keselowski's performance improved in 2022?
Last year, Brad Keselowski revealed his goals for the 2022 season. He had plans to win as many races as possible to honor his late dad, Bob Keselowski. On December 29, 2021, he went ahead on his Twitter account and uploaded a notebook of his father writing down his goals.
As of this writing, Keselowski's first goal in winning a race for the Roush Fenway Racing team has remained unfulfilled. Instead, he managed to win Bluegreen Vacations Duel 1 which was held at Daytona International Speedway.
His second goal was to win the Daytona 500 2022 where his expectation of winning was impossible after the wrecking, which he caused on the track which also found him in the mix. All in all, he is trying to improve his performance to make his dad proud.
Keselowski is working hard to make sure that he takes the victory of Ruoff Mortgage, which will be held at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday, February 13, at 3:00 pm ET.
