SiriusXM NASCAR Radio host Danielle Trotta has revealed Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) crew chief Rodney Childers and Josh Berry's hectic schedule these days. Childers and Josh Berry are working tirelessly, giving interviews day and night to secure their futures. The revelation touched fans, prompting an outpouring of support for the SHR team members.

The announcement that Stewart-Haas Racing will discontinue operations after the 2024 season has pressured drivers and crew chiefs to find new roles. While Chase Briscoe has secured a position with Joe Gibbs Racing, others like Josh Berry, Noah Gragson, Ryan Preece, and their crew chiefs are still uncertain about their careers.

Danielle Trotta of SiriusXM NASCAR Radio recently gave fans a sneak peek into the challenges inside the SHR camp. She posted about Rodney Childers, former crew chief of Kevin Harvick, and Josh Berry's ongoing challenges in NASCAR. Her post on X read:

"Ever wonder what 'silly season' is like inside SHR? Rodney Childers shared that they're juggling job interview calls during the day and meeting in person by night. When asked if he and Josh Berry might stick together, he said they'd like to, but it feels like their futures are changing every couple of hours. My heart goes out to everyone at SHR."

Fans responded with empathy and support, expressing sentiments like:

"Breaks my heart. Praying for Rodney and Josh - as well as others at SHR."

A few other reactions from the fans read:

"Any team that hires both @RodneyChilders4 and @joshberry together will be getting a winning team, if not a championship threat team. They're only going to get better," said a fan.
"I'm going to be really disappointed if they don't stay together 😕 🙃," said another.
"The wood brothers need to go all in and get these guys together," another shared an idea.
"@joshberry & @RodneyChilders4 definitely need to stay together. There's got to be at least one organization out there smart enough to see how quickly they're growing together as a team. It would be a real shame if they couldn't continue together next season!," one fan opined.

SHR veteran spotter says "Racing for our jobs"

Amid the uncertainties at Stewart-Haas Racing, veteran spotter Eddie D'Hondt has lauded the team's resilience on social media. After Josh Berry secured a P3 finish at New Hampshire with the help of his crew chief Rodney Childers and the #4 team, D'Hondt took to X to write:

"Racin for our jobs !👊🥛 Proud of our @StewartHaasRcng #4 team & our continued - never give up - effort. @joshberry is absolutely racin his butt off & @RodneyChilders4 leading us & bringing fast cars every week Congrats @CBellRacing& team(s) on sweeping 🧹 the weekend. 🏁🏁"

Amid these challenges, Josh Berry stands at P19 in the regular-season points standings, with 357 points, including two top-5s and four top-10s.
