Bubba Wallace answered an interesting question from a fan amid his visit to the White House in Washington, D.C. He was seen behind the podium where the President of the United States usually addresses the country.
23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace was seen taking a break from the usual racing action as he posted a picture dressed in a checkered suit, standing behind the podium of The White House. Comically, he addressed Bob Pockrass in the caption, saying:
This, however, was not the only sarcastic part of his post. A fan asked him to confirm if the White House had lights, to which Bubba Wallace replied:
"First question goes to @bobpockrass…"
"Can confirm lots of lights."
Wallace recently also talked about Juneteenth; an annual holiday in the US celebrated on 19th June. It marked the end of slavery in the country back in 1886 and was also called Juneteenth National Independence Day.
The #23 driver stated that he feels proud to play a "small role" in establishing equality. He is currently the only African-American driver on the Cup Series field. He wrote on X:
"Seeing faces at the racetrack from ALL backgrounds is something I’m proud to play a small role in. As we celebrate today I invite you to step out of your comfort zone, challenge your perspective, and move forward with compassion and understanding. All love✌. Been thinking a lot about the role today plays in this sport and the responsibility I have with my platform. Juneteenth celebrates the freedom of enslaved African Americans in the US."
What are Bubba Wallace's Playoffs chances as Cup Series progresses to round 18?
Although the 23XI driver managed to finish within the top 10 multiple times this season, he has been finishing in the midfield for most of the races. After the first 17 rounds, Bubba Wallace's fourth place in Martinsville has been the best. He also finished fifth twice at Daytona and at Atlanta.
Currently, he is in 14th place in the standings with 414 (75 stage) points. He remains out of a victory in the season, and although he is currently within the top 16 drivers, a race win might become necessary as the Cup Series this season has already witnessed 11 different race winners.
Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan-owned 23XI Racing run two charters, and while Wallace might be a little far from the Playoffs contention, his teammate Tyler Reddick is in a more comfortable position. He has already won three stages and a race (Talladega) this season and has led 340 laps, giving him a place within the top 10 of the standings.
