Bob Pockrass recently shared a video where Christopher Bell inadvertently let slip Chase Briscoe's switch to the JGR team before it was officially announced. The move drew criticism from Bubba Wallace's spotter, Freddie Kraft, who slammed the journalist for how the news was released, arguing that media should allow teams to make their official announcements.

Following Martin Truex Jr.'s retirement announcement, Chase Briscoe quickly rose to the top of the list as a likely candidate for the Joe Gibbs team. Briscoe himself hinted last week that a deal was nearly finalized by saying, "I'm pretty close," yet an official announcement had yet to be made.

Bob Pockrass recently shared a post where Christopher Bell was responding to a question about leadership within his team. While answering the question, Bell unintentionally mentioned, "There really isn't a leadership role in that aspect. And whenever Chase comes in to the car..."

Pockrass captioned the post:

"Oops. When answering a question on whether his JGR leadership role will increase, Christopher Bell accidentally mentions “Chase” joining the team. Chase Briscoe's signing hasn’t been announced yet but is expected," via X.

After his slip-up, Christopher Bell seemed momentarily at a loss for words. Realizing his mistake, the #20 driver paused, offered a sheepish smile, and then regained his composure to continue addressing the original question.

However, the revelation didn't go over well with Bubba Wallace's spotter, who took a jab at Bob Pockrass for leaking the news. He expressed his frustration on his official X account, sharing the post and writing:

"I hate when these so called journalists break news like this. Just let the teams make their own announcements. Jeez 🙄"

Meanwhile, as he is preparing for the USA Today 301 race at New Hampshire, Christopher Bell also remarked on the challenges of winning in NASCAR, acknowledging that securing a race victory is never a simple feat.

"Everything has to go right in order to win," says Christopher Bell

During the press conference ahead of the USA Today 301 race at New Hampshire, when asked about his prospects for a third win of the season, Bell emphasized the collective effort required. He expressed:

"I can't stress enough how hard it is to win any NASCAR race, just with everything that goes on in the event, everyone has to do their job on the entire team. So, while I do have confidence that we're going to show up and have speed, and I'm going to be able to get around the racetrack at a good pace, that doesn't mean success by any means.
So, I feel confident that we're going to be in contention and have a shot at it. But everything has to go right in order to win," as reported by Nascar.com.

Currently, Christopher Bell is ranked eighth with 498 points, having already secured victories at the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte and the Shriners Children's 500 at Phoenix Raceway.
