Freddie Kraft shared his "unfortunate" fate of spotting Bubba Wallace in 2025, as the latter also shared a sarcastic jibe on social media. The two have been working together since the driver's early years in racing, marking a partnership close to one and a half decades.

As the clock counts down for the start of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, drivers and teams are in preparation to face new challenges and achieve their goals. Amidst all the changes going on within the teams, Bubba Wallace is fixed with his drive at 23XI Racing alongside his spotter Freddie Kraft. As mentioned, the two share a long history of racing together.

Recently, a fan asked Kraft if he would continue to work with Wallace in the 2025 season as well, to which he gave a rather sarcastic reply, expressing his "unfortunate" fate as he claimed that no one else would deal with the #23 driver.

"Will you still be spotting for @BubbaWallace this season??" A user questioned him on X.
"Unfortunately Kelly I’m stuck. No one else will deal with his ass," Kraft replied.

Bubba Wallace did not hold back on the fun, either, as he joked that he wished to work with someone else in the upcoming season.

"Hope not," Wallace wrote.

Bubba Wallace to race with new teammate in the 2025 season

Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan co-owned 23XI Racing currently fields two chartered cars in the Cup Series field. They were planning to expand to a third charter by purchasing one from Stewart-Haas Racing as the team closed down its operations at the end of the 2024 season. However, there was a major barrier they faced.

Teams were supposed to sign the 2025 Charter Agreement from NASCAR but two teams, 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports, refused to do so despite a deadline. Subsequently, they filed an anti-trust lawsuit against NASCAR for alleged monopolistic behavior.

As the lawsuit progressed, there was a possibility that the teams might not be allowed to run as chartered teams in 2025 since they did not sign the agreement. However, the US District Court allowed their injunction, further allowing them to participate in the 2025 season and purchase any charters that they had intended to.

Both 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports purchased a charter from SHR, with the latter also signing Zane Smith. As the teams have now expanded to three-charter teams, 23XI is prepared to welcome Riley Herbst to the team, who will be piloting the #35 Toyota alongside Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick. This is set to be a major positive for the team as a third driver could bring them more competitiveness and points.

Notably, Wallace has raced with the team since 2021 and has won two races. He came close to winning his third on multiple occasions in the last Cup Series season but couldn't, and hence, did not qualify for the playoffs.
