Bubba Wallace's wife Amanda pokes fun at her husband's summer shootout ahead of baby's arrival

Soon-to-be dad Bubba Wallace recently returned to grassroots racing at the Cook Out Summer Shootout, accompanied by his wife Amanda. She quipped that her presence trackside was in anticipation of their baby boy.

In April, Wallace and his wife announced they were expecting their firstborn in October 2024. A month later, the NASCAR couple hosted a gender reveal party with their friends and announced on social media that they were expecting a baby boy.

While Amanda and Bubba Wallace are racing towards parenthood, the #23 Toyota driver made a return to Legend Cars after a five-year hiatus. He got back behind the wheel of the #76 Legend Car in the Pro Division at Charlotte Motor Speedway earlier in June and is expected to run the full schedule this summer.

Amanda Wallace accompanied Bubba to a Summer Shootout race after the New Hampshire weekend. Watching her husband race in the shootout, she joked that he was prepping her for their future racing star, as they were expecting a baby boy, and she would be back at the track within a few years with their son.

"I think @bubbawallace decided to race this summer shootout to prepare me slightly to have a boy," she wrote in her Instagram Stories.

Bubba Wallace's racing career took off on the quarter-mile track at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Starting in Legend Cars and Bandoleros, he has climbed through the ranks to become a two-time NASCAR Cup race winner.

Returning to his roots, the 23XI Racing driver secured a podium finish in the Summer Shootout on June 25th, with his pregnant wife in attendance to celebrate the achievement.

The popular NASCAR couple's relationship dates back to their high school days. Amanda Carter was a freshman when she first crossed paths with Bubba Wallace, a sophomore at the time.

Wallace and Carter didn't date in high school but stayed in touch over the years. They reconnected at a college football game in 2015 and began dating in 2016. Many years later, in June 2021, Wallace proposed to Carter in a romantic setting in front of a waterfall in Oregon.

More than a year later, the couple got married on New Year's Eve in 2022, in Charlotte, North Carolina. They recently celebrated their first anniversary and announced they were expecting their first child in October 2024.
