Bubba Wallace celebrated Halloween with his son, Becks Hayden, and dressed up his toddler in his ‘favorite NASCAR driver—none other than Bubba himself. Becks wore a similar Columbia Sportswear Company race suit his father used at the Kansas Speedway playoff race last September.
Wallace is a 30-year-old Alabama native who drives the No. 23 Toyota Camry XSE for 23XI. The driver shares one child with Amanda Carter, whom he married on New Year’s Eve of 2023. Their son Becks Hayden was born on September 29, the same day as the playoff race in Kansas.
In an X (formerly Twitter) post by Bubba Wallace, the No. 23 driver shared side-by-side photos of his race suit at Hollywood Casino 400 and Becks Hayden’s Halloween costume, captioning the post:
“Little man’s first Halloween. Dressed as his favorite @NASCAR driver,” Wallace wrote on X.
Meanwhile, Bubba didn’t dress up for Halloween, while his wife wore a onesie with skeleton motifs.
The Hollywood Casino 400 from Kansas Speedway witnessed the No. 23 car sporting a black and yellow Columbia Sportswear Company paint scheme. Meanwhile, the No. 45 car of teammate Tyler Reddick ran in DraftKings livery.
Wallace finished 17th on the 1.5-mile track after starting from 13th. But perhaps the highlight of his day was welcoming Becks Hayden. He flew from Kansas Speedway to be with his wife for the delivery of their son just hours before the race.
Now, the Alabama native is preparing for the Xfinity 500 from Martinsville Speedway this Sunday. It will be the second-to-last race before the season finale at Phoenix Raceway next week, where his teammate Tyler Reddick secured a spot in the Championship 4.
The driver is set to return to the No. 23 car next season after signing a multi-year extension with Michael Jordan's 23XI in September amid the team's ongoing legal battle against NASCAR.
Bubba and Amanda Wallace expressed their excitement for their journey as family
Bubba Wallace and his wife Amanda took to Instagram to share the first photos of Becks Hayden a few days after birth. The couple used a checkered flagged cloth as a background, along with five bricks that spell out their son’s name.
In an Instagram post last month, Bubba and Amanda expressed their excitement, saying:
“Amanda and I would like to introduce you to Becks Hayden! We were blessed with his presence Sunday 9/29☺️ 9 months of waiting on this little guy, he’s made it all worth it! So excited for this journey!”
During the Talladega Superspeed Race weekend, Bubba Wallace shared about how his life changed after becoming a father, saying:
“What a blessing he has been to our family. Becks is doing really good. He sleeps a lot, which is great […] But, yeah, everything’s been going really good. And this first week, he’s… I’m enjoying it. I’ve had a mile on my face.”
Becks Hayden attended his first NASCAR race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. His dad had a strong race that weekend, coming home in P9 and finishing P4 in stage 2.
