Bubba Wallace, currently the only African-American driver competing in NASCAR, shared a heartfelt message on the occasion of Juneteenth. He challenged his fans to step out of their comfort zones and move forward in their lives.

Bubba Wallace is in his 14th season of his NASCAR career and has accumulated eight wins in the sport overall. Currently driving the #23 Toyota Camry XSE, for Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan-owned 23XI Racing team, Wallace is ranked 14th in the Cup standings with 414 points, including three top-5s and five top-10s in 17 races.

Celebrating Juneteenth, a day signifying "freedom" for African Americans due to the legal abolition of slavery, Bubba Wallace took to his social media [X] to share his message:

"Been thinking a lot about the role today plays in this sport and the responsibility I have with my platform. Juneteenth celebrates the freedom of enslaved African Americans in the US.
Seeing faces at the racetrack from ALL backgrounds is something I’m proud to play a small role in. As we celebrate today I invite you to step out of your comfort zone, challenge your perspective, and move forward with compassion and understanding. All love✌"

In addition to representing his African-American community in NASCAR, Wallace previously, famously pushed for a ban on Confederate flags at all NASCAR events, something he championed as a move for inclusivity. Wallace believed banning the flag would foster a more inclusive atmosphere and potentially broaden the viewer base.

Meanwhile, apart from the Cup races, driving #23 for the 23XI Racing team, Bubba Wallace has also returned to SSO this season after a five-year hiatus.

As per Speedwaydigest.com, Bubba Wallace returned to the track for the Cook Out Summer Shootout this year after a five-year hiatus. He made a comeback at the famous quarter-mile during the opening week doubleheader earlier this month and plans to compete in all 10 events of the series this summer.

In his early racing years, Bubba Wallace racked up 13 wins in the U.S. Legends Pro Division, VP Racing Fuels Semi-Pro, and Bandolero Bandits Division, much to the delight of his hometown fans. This season, he's behind the wheel of the #76 Car in the Pro Division. Adjusting to the car's power-to-weight ratio, which is quite different from what he's used to in the NASCAR Cup Series, presents a challenge that Wallace is eager to master.

The event kicked off on June 10, and for eight consecutive weeks—a total of 10 races—America's Home for Racing will host over 150 drivers from across North America. They have all taken on the quarter-mile track that has been a crucial proving ground for the hobbyists and career racers for more than 30 years.
