In 2015, Michael Waltrip was involved in a hilarious conversation with Denny Hamlin before a Cup Series race. Two-time Daytona 500 winner Waltrip accidentally spilled a taco on Hamlin's #11 Toyota Camry.

Waltrip is a former NASCAR driver who competed in the Cup Series for almost 33 years. He is the younger brother of NASCAR legend Darrell Waltrip and was also the owner of Michael Waltrip Racing before it ceased to exist in 2015. The 61-year-old serves as a Fox Sports analyst in the Cup Series and a color commentator for Xfinity and Truck Series.

4xCup Series race winner Waltrip came across Joe Gibbs Racing driver Hamlin during a pre-race grid walk and offered him a taco, seemingly wanting a favor in return. However, Waltrip inadvertently spilled it on the windshield of Hamlin's #11. After making a mess on the Hamlin's car, Waltrip asked:

"Can I still get a ride home? I'm sorry, I'm done."

Waltrip, who wasn't expecting an answer from Hamlin went straight to the 2003 Cup Series champion Matt Kenseth and offered him the same taco. To which Kenseth blatantly denied.

Michael Waltrip once credited legendary Richard Petty for guiding him at a young age

Michael Waltrip made his debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 1985. In 784 races, Waltrip accumulated 133 top-10s and four wins, including the two prestigious Daytona 500 events.

In a 2009 interview, Waltrip attributed the seven-time Cup Series champion Petty. He said:

"Physically helping me with advice and direction and a job was Richard Petty. He did a lot for me at a young age, when I needed help and direction."

Moreover, he credited his elder brother and three-time Cup Series champion Darrell. The younger Waltrip said:

"But what Darrell accomplished made my last name mean something, and that opened up a lot of doors and gave me a lot of opportunities. So Darrell and Richard are the two main people that helped me get up and running."

Additionally, Waltrip mentioned another NASCAR legend, Dale Earnhardt, to help him accomplish when Waltrip was past his prime. Waltrip drove for Dale Earnhardt Inc. and claimed all four victories for Earnhart's organization, including the 2001 Daytona 500 race where Earnhardt died after a last-lap multi-wreck.
