Chase Briscoe talks about the recent SHR Announcement

Stewart-Haas Racing driver Chase Briscoe expressed his feelings about SHR operations being shut down soon after the 2024 NASCAR season. Briscoe currently competes full-time in the Cup Series, piloting the #14 Ford for SHR.

Briscoe got promoted to NASCAR's top-tier division in 2021, replacing NASCAR veteran Clint Bowyer. The 29-year-old Briscoe has a single win for SHR that came in 2022 at Phoenix Raceway. He also has 26 top-10s in his NASCAR Cup Series career so far.

Briscoe shared a video of himself on his X (previously Twitter) handle, reacting to the announcement made by Tony Stewart and Gene Haas from the SHR parking lot.

"I never thought this day would come you know I've been in Stewart Haas for the last seven years now it's truthfully became like home to me and feels like a family and just what an incredible group of men and women at this place that just make it feel like home and just make you enjoy coming to work each and every day," he said.

The #14 Ford driver would be on the hunt for a new home in the Cup Series for the 2025 season. Briscoe also appreciated other members of the organization, hoping for them to find new opportunities. He said:

"I just hope that all the guys and gals have this place you know find a great opportunity because each and every single person here deserves it you know just incredible group of people and that of all put in so much hard work and effort and just sacrificed so much for me to be able to live out my dream of you know, driving race cars and winning at the highest level," he stated
"I have no idea what I'm doing going forward. It's going to be interesting time these next couple of weeks just trying to find even what's available out there. Hopefully can land on my feet and continue to race in the cup series so I appreciate all the support all the love." Briscoe added in the end. (at 1:04)
