Chase Briscoe was left disappointed while spending time with his wife Marissa amid the NASCAR off-season. Briscoe failed to trick his wife in the famous illusion game after she seamlessly responded with the correct answer.
Briscoe is a 30-year-old NASCAR Cup Series driver bound for Joe Gibbs Racing. He got married to Marissa in November 2019 during his Xfinity Series days.
In an Instagram post, Chase Briscoe shared how Marissa escaped his efforts of tricking her into pronouncing the word 'two' incorrectly.
"Thought for sure I was gonna get her..." Briscoe wrote in an IG story.
The game started by asking Marissa to pronounce 'twa', 'twe', and 'twi.' Chase Briscoe's goal was to trick his wife into pronouncing the word 'two' as /tuwo/ instead of /tu/ but to no avail. He immediately ended the recording in disappointment.
The Indiana native spends time at home after making the playoffs last season. He qualified for the postseason with a win in the regular season finale at Darlington Raceway and advanced to the Round of 12 in the No. 14 Ford Mustang.
Briscoe departed from Stewart-Haas Racing following the team's discontinuation at the end of the 2024 season.
For 2025, the two-time Cup race winner will drive the No. 19 JGR Toyota Camry, replacing Martin Truex Jr. who retired from full-time competition. His season will kick off at the Daytona International Speedway for the Daytona 500 on February 16.
Chase Briscoe shared fifth anniversary message for his wife Marissa
Last November, Chase Briscoe and his wife Marissa celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary. The NASCAR driver took to Instagram to send her wife a heartfelt message coupled with their photos through the years.
Briscoe wrote:
"5 years ago today I officially tied the knot and out kicked my coverage! Happy 5th anniversary to the most incredible mother to our 3 kids and amazing wife! You seriously amaze me everyday and are the glue that holds our crazy household together. I love you! @marissabriscoe_."
In one of the photos, Marissa was holding their newborn twins, Cooper Branks and Collins Ivy. The twins were born in October last year after the YellaWood 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, where Briscoe finished 30th.
The twins followed the couple's eldest son, Brooks Wayne, born in October 2021. Briscoe has been making the most out of his off-season with the family.
He went hunting with Brooks for the first time last November and said his son couldn't stop talking about the "big buck" he got.
Starting next month, Briscoe will team up with Denny Hamlin (11) and Ty Gibbs (54). He will also run alongside Christopher Bell (20), who accidentally revealed his move to Joe Gibbs Racing during a press conference last year.
Team owner Joe Gibbs, meanwhile, is optimistic about Briscoe's first year in the No. 19 Toyota, saying a race win is expected considering his track record that impressed the executives.
