Chase Elliott has officially announced the end of his offseason by announcing his first race of 2025, which will take place at the Cordele Motor Speedway on the weekend of January 17th. The two-day racing event in Cordele, Georgia will see the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion get behind the wheel of a late-model stock car.
The driver of the #9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet took to Instagram to share a graphic hyping up the event. The Dawsonville, Georgia native declared in the caption that it marks the end of his offseason and that he's looking forward to getting back to racing.
"Off season over, excited to be back behind the wheel. Let’s get it! 👊🏼," Elliott wrote.
Elliott's racing announcement comes on the same day the 19-time Cup Series winner landed a major sponsorship deal. Via Hendrick Motorsports on social media, it was announced that the son of retired Cup Series champion Bill Elliott will have Sports on Prime aboard his #9 machine for select races in 2025. Prime Sports will also broadcast a few Cup Series races during the 2025 campaign.
HMS posted a photo of the new look for Chase Elliott's car, writing:

During the offseason, Chase Elliott was honored with the 2024 NMPA Most Popular Driver Award, marking the seventh straight season he's claimed the award. Elliott posted an Instagram video shortly after winning the award and thanked his loyal fans for their continued support of him. He wrote:
"Wow! Most popular driver 7 years in a row. Cannot say thank you enough! You guys rock 👊🏼"
Elliott further expressed his gratitude at the conclusion of the 2024 season in a post on Instagram and thanked all those who supported him as he ushered in the new year.

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season was a bounce-back season for Chase Elliott. After missing seven races and failing to make the playoffs for the first time in his career in 2023, Elliott got back to victory lane in 2024 and was a top contender for the championship.
At the season's end, Elliott took to Instagram to share some highlights from 2024 and expressed his gratitude for his team and fans who supported him. He wrote:

Chase Elliott snapped a 42-race winless drought at Texas in 2024, which was the sole win of the season for the #9 driver. He posted 19 top 10s, and 11 top fives, and finished seventh in the points standings.
