HMS' Kyle Larson dominates ROVAL with a 'fun but boring' drive to advance to the playoff Round of 8

Kyle Larson began the playoff race at Charlotte from P6 and quickly gained a few positions on the first lap. Throughout the event, he maintained his position among the frontrunners, leading the race for an impressive 62 laps before ultimately driving his #5 Chevrolet to victory lane.

Following the end of the Bank of America ROVAL 400, Larson spoke with SiriusXM NASCAR Channel and reflected on his day at Charlotte.

“Great day, a great car, a great start to our race too, I think, which kind of helped reshape how that was going to look. And then, yeah, we were just up front all day long, got to flip the stages and, yeah, our car was good. Had some good restarts too. So, that really helped things and, yeah, it was just, you know, a fun, boring day for us.”

The Cup Series will return for the Round of 8 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the South Point 400. The playoff race is scheduled for 20th October, at 2:30 PM ET.
