Joe Gibbs Racing driver Christopher Bell has unconsciously announced Martin Truex Jr.'s 2025 replacement in the NASCAR Cup Series. Bell announced that Chase Briscoe will be his teammate at JGR next season after a slip of tongue. Chase Briscoe currently pilots #14 Ford of Stewart-Haas Racing. However, Tony Stewart and Gene Haas recently announced closure of SHR franchise at the end of 2024 season.

Ahead of the New Hampshire race, Bell was asked if he would need to take a bigger leadership role at JGR next season since Martin Truex Jr. is retiring next season.

Bell went on to accidentally leak the news of Chase Briscoe joining him at Joe Gibbs Racing next season.

The #20 Camry driver said (via Bob Pockrass),

"I don’t think there really is a leadership role in that aspect, and whenever Chase come into the car….whenever some…whenever… whenever we have a new driver into the 19 car.”

Bell seemed at a loss of words after realising what he had just done.

Bell then continued and said,

"I have definitely grown in confidence telling the team what we need inside of our cars, with experience, but week-in and week-out, a different guy may lead the discussion. Every time we go into our Monday meetings, it could be whoever has a good race that week."

Kyle Larson shares hilarious reaction to Christopher Bell's Martin Truex Jr. replacement leak

NASCAR star Kyle Larson shared a hilarious response on his social media after learning Christopher Bell’s blunder during the media session. Bell accidentally revealed the impending news of Chase Briscoe replacing Martin Truex Jr. next season at Joe Gibbs Racing.

Kyle Larson added a twist in his take while commenting on social media though. Since Bell only muttered Chase’s name, he instead congratulated his current HMS teammate Chase Elliott for the move.

He wrote,

“Man totally blind sided by this news! Wishing @chaseelliott the best on his new adventure at @JoeGibbsRacing. Have enjoyed you as a teammate! 😂 Good Luck #d19”

Larson, Bell, Truex, and others will go head to head for glory this week on the New Hampshire track. It is one of the most exciting races of the year.

Interestingly, retiring legend Martn Truex Jr. won "The Magic Mile" last season. Christopher Bell was in the victory lane in 2022. Moreover, only six current drivers in the Cup Series have won at Loudon. Can we see a new winner this year or will the Joe Gibbs Racing drivers dominate the circuit once again?
