Morgan Bell, wife of nine-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner Christopher Bell, took to social media on Wednesday to share photos of herself and her husband from Sunday's playoff race at Atlanta. Bell nabbed a top-five finish in the event.

In a post on Instagram, Morgan shared a photo of herself and Christopher looking up at the pre-race flyover and another of the couple posing beside the No. 20 Rheem Toyota. She wrote:

"Surviving Atlanta and managing to snag a top 5."

Bell, a three-time winner this season, finished fourth in Sunday's playoff opener that saw multiple playoff drivers have troubles, such as his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Denny Hamlin and 2021 Cup champion Kyle Larson.

The 29-year-old started the Quaker State 400 from the 26th position. He failed to finish top-10 in stage one to accumulate any stage points but salvaged a 10th-place finish in stage two to earn a point.

Bell placed fourth in the final results behind third-place Ryan Blaney, second-place Daniel Suarez, and first-place Joey Logano. He was the highest-finishing Toyota and the sole Toyota to finish in the top five. The fourth-place finish was Bell's second-best finish at the 1.5-mile oval, with his best being a third in March 2023.

The Oklahoma native entered the playoffs carrying 32 playoff points, which gave him a 27-point cushion over the cutoff line to advance to the next round. After Atlanta, Bell now sits third in the playoff standings with a 40-point barrier between himself and Brad Keselowski, who's the first driver below the cutline in 13th.

Bell seeking first Cup championship this season

With three wins, 10 top-fives, and nine stage wins, Christopher Bell has stamped himself as one of the top contenders for the 2024 title. His first win of the season came in the fourth race at Phoenix, where he also picked up a stage win. Bell later went on to win the rain-shortened Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte on Memorial Day weekend. The 2017 Truck Series champion's third win of the season came at New Hampshire in June.

Bell has made it to the Championship 4 race in the previous two seasons. After a win in the next-to-last race of the year at Martinsville in 2022, he ended up finishing third among the championship drivers the next week at Phoenix, where Logano ended up the champion. Last year, Bell once again had a shot for NASCAR's ultimate prize, but a brake failure midway through the race thwarted his chances and Blaney ended up the champion.

A championship this season would not only be Bell's first, but the first for the No. 20 JGR car since Tony Stewart in 2005, and the first for the organization since Kyle Busch in 2019.
