Ryan Blaney's fiancée, Gianna Tulio, has shared a special tribute for their upcoming marriage this NASCAR off-season. In an Instagram story, Tulio teased her wedding dress on a private jet flight to Aspen where the couple will get married.
Blaney and Tulio had been dating for about three years when the NASCAR driver proposed in December last year. The couple plans to get married this month, and it seems they are on the way to the wedding venue.
Per Gianna Tulio's Instagram, she posted a story teasing her covered wedding dress made by Berta, a New York-based company designing wedding dresses.
"Coming for you Aspen," Tulio wrote.
In an earlier IG story, Tulio showed off a customized shotski with a marriage theme and 'Mr. and Mrs. Blaney' engraving.
Previously, Gianna Tulio had been sharing wedding-related posts on social media. Some of these include showing off her manicured nails and new Valentino Garavani pumps for her big day. She wrote, "Ready for Aspen" upon posting the footwear.
The upcoming wedding in Aspen, Colorado comes on the heels of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season where Ryan Blaney had a chance to go back-to-back.
Blaney was closing the gap to leader and Team Penske teammate Joey Logano in the closing laps in the season finale at Phoenix Raceway. However, Logano held the lead all the way to the checkered flag to win his third championship.
Team Penske will return to NASCAR next year as a three-time defending champion.
"I didn't ask her dad until we were about to get on the plane": When Ryan Blaney forgot to ask Gianna Tulio's father before proposing
Last year, Ryan Blaney knelt before Gianna Tulio and asked her hand in marriage. While the now-fiancée said yes, Blaney admitted forgetting to ask her father for his blessing first, which he shared before the 2024 playoffs began.
In an interview with NASCAR insiders Jeff Gluck and Jordan Bianchi, the No. 12 Ford pilot said he only remembered asking her father on the way to Washington's Cascade Mountains where he planned to propose.
“I didn't ask her dad until we were about to get on the plane. I have a great relationship with her dad... like he's awesome. I love him, but I was like, 'Oh man, I forgot to call her dad.' I'm like, 'Hey Mr. Tulio, you know, I'm about to get on this plane, and I just had a question I was wanting to ask you before I asked Gianna.' [5:27]
Gianna's father told Blaney to wait a couple of days for his response as a joke.
“'I was going to ask Gianna to marry me. I just wanted to make sure it was okay with you.' He was like, 'You know, Ryan, let me think about it for a couple days.’ I was like, 'Alright,' He was like, 'I’m messing with you, of course.' He’s a jokester, but yeah, I almost forgot to do that, like you have to ask her parents."
Later in the interview, Ryan Blaney said he and Joey Logano give their younger teammate Austin Cindric dating advice. The Team Penske trio made the postseason this year, with Cindric reaching the Round of 12.
