Corey Heim, will fill in for Erik Jones during this weekend's Cup Series race at Dover Motor Speedway. After an early exit from Saturday's BetRivers 200 due to engine issues during the 200-mile-long race, the young 21-year-old will be seen making his debut in the highest echelon of the sport come Sunday afternoon.

Corey Heim, who is the driver of the #11 Toyota Supra fielded by Tricon Garage in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, elaborated on the learning curve for him as he prepared to adapt to the seventh-generation NASCAR Cup Series car, which sits further away from the junior nationwide series' package than ever before.

The 21-year-old elaborated on the same after his early retirement from Saturday's event in an interview with FOX Sports reporter Bob Pockrass and said:

"It's such a different world out there with the new Cup car and the different tire and the different engine and everything. I feel like definitely going to take a while for me to get used to, I kind of played around with my limits a little bit and definitely found it in the middle of (turns) 1 and 2. Felt like I had a pretty big moment there."

Corey Heim further elaborated on the key differences between the NASCAR Cup Series car as well as the more traditional Xfinity package and added:

"It definitely has a lot more grip. Cars have a lot of grip until they don't. I think that's the name of the game. The steering feels very direct, very linear. In this Xfinity car it feels like it has a lot of slap to it and the Cup cars don't. You've to be very precise."

Corey Heim will be seen filling in for Legacy Motor Club driver Erik Jones after his crash at Talladega Superspeedway last weekend, causing him to suffer compression fractures in his spine.

Corey Heim elaborates on who gave him advice ahead of 21-year-old's NASCAR Cup Series debut

Despite making his NASCAR Cup Series debut in not the most favorable condition possible, Corey Heim looks forward to what can prove to be a turning point in the young 21-year-old driver's stock car racing career.

The Tricon Racing regular recently talked about how he has received tips from several Cup Series veteran drivers and teams and elaborated in an interview with Bob Pockrass:

"It's really awesome to see how much support I've been getting. I've had drivers from 23XI, Joe Gibbs (Racing) reach out to me and try to offer their best piece of mind that they can."

It remains to be seen how Heim performs during tomorrow's event at the 1-mile-long track.
