"Daddy is going to freak out": Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife Amy reveals when his iconic Bristol trophy almost got taken apart

Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife Amy recently spoke about his trophies and where the NASCAR legend keeps them. During the Ask Jr. segment of the Dale Jr. Download, a fan asked Amy about the number of trophies she allows in the house to be displayed.

She revealed that in their house, there are several trophies scattered around, adding that they don't know the true number of trophies Dale Jr. has, and that they can't exactly trace down all of them.

"We've got Bristol in the living room, then there's his championship trophy in the hallway, All-Star race trophy on the floor, he's got a few in his office. The Hall of Fame has some of them, I think some of them might be there upstairs. His Daytona trophies are on the foyer on the table. All of his Most Popular Driver trophies are upstairs (at Dirty Mo Media studio). We kind of move them around," Amy Earnhardt said [at 1:20].

Speaking about the Bristol trophy from his iconic 2004 win, a night where he coined the phrase, 'It's Bristol baby!', Dale Earnhardt Jr. said he is 'terrified' of the spot where the trophy is kept, as his daughters may get their hands on it.

"Bristol trophy is the Sharpie 500. On the corners of the trophy are the sharpies and they're plastic, and I'm like just waiting on one of them little girls to grab on them sharpies," he said (at 3:36).

Adding to this, his wife Amy revealed that the trophy came pretty close to being taken apart by one of Dale Jr.'s daughters.

"Nicole has grabbed at it, she's gotten hollered at pretty quickly. That's basically what I told her, 'You can't touch this, daddy is going to freak out,'" Amy Earnhardt said.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. wants to do what Kasey Kahne did with his NASCAR trophies

During the same conversation about his trophies, Dale Earnhardt Jr. revealed what he plans to do with his trophies in the future. Earnhardt claimed that he wanted to display all his trophies in a big cabinet like the former HMS driver, Kasey Kahne has.

Jr. further mentioned that he used to care about putting his trophies in his house back when he was a full-time active driver, but now he wanted to track down the missing trophies and display them all together in one place.

"I would love to take every trophy I have, put it in a big case and go, 'Alright, what are we missing? What's not here?' Because there are some, I'm not 100% sure where every single trophy is from the Cup or the Xfinity days and so it'd be kind of nice to know which one might not be around or where are they," Earnhardt said (4:00).
