Dale Earnhardt Jr. revealed two major updates regarding his popular podcast shows under Dirty Mo Media. Earnhardt revealed who would be partnering with him as his co-host for the "Dale Jr. Download" and also named the person who'd be a co-host with Freddie Kraft on "Door Bumper Clear."
Towards the end of 2023, Dirty Mo Media announced that longtime co-host of the DJD, Mike Davis, won't be part of the show from 2024 onwards. Furthermore, it was also revealed in late 2024 that one of the original members of DBC, Brett Griffin, won't return for the 2025 season.
In Wednesday's episode of "Dirty Air," Dale Earnhardt Jr. addressed the subject of the co-host of the DJD. He said:
"TJ Majors was in the show a lot, towards the back-end of last year and he will be joining me on Tuesdays. I've kind of been looking for somebody to join me at the table since Mike (Davis) went to focus more on the business side of Dirty Mo Media. God, I've been looking for somebody like Mike to go back and forth with. Me and TJ ... we can banter, and argue, and give each other a hard time, which I think is a lot of fun. He's fun to give a hard time to." [3:40]
Junior emphasized that TJ Majors would be 'a major member' of the Dale Jr. Download in 2025.
Focusing his attention on "Door Bumper Clear," Dale Earnhardt Jr. made another 'big announcement.' The Hall of Famer claimed that Bubba Wallace's spotter, Freddie Kraft, will continue to host the show.
"It's being kinda shaped and steered into a new direction, albeit I think it will be somewhat similar to the thread that DBC has kind of lived in all these years," Earnhardt Jr. said. "But Freddie had the bright idea to bring on board Tommy Baldwin."
Junior deemed Baldwin as a 'very outspoken' individual who doesn't hesitate to call things for what they are. He further remarked the new co-host of DBC and Freddie Kraft share a close friendship as well.
TJ Majors spoke about spotting for close friend Dale Earnhardt Jr. in 2017
While Dale Earnhardt Jr. and TJ Majors would be sharing the room as a host and co-host of a podcast show, the two have a long history in NASCAR before that as well. Majors was a longtime spotter for Earnhardt while also being a close friend of the former Hendrick Motorsports driver.
Addressing his dual role in Earnhardt's life, that of a spotter and a close friend, Majors said in 2017 that 'it works better' with both. The spotter claimed that being a friend of the track gives one 'an extra step' as the driver wants to hear a familiar voice in his head during a race.
"You want somebody that’s going to look after you and be on your side. When they throw the green (flag), it’s like going to battle. You want to go to battle with somebody you know," Majors said (per USA Today).
On the other side, Dale Earnhardt Jr. also deemed TJ Majors as someone who's 'pretty close' to him.
