Former NASCAR Cup Series driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. and 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace's spotter Freddie Kraft are enjoying their off-season. But recently, Kraft's wife took a hilarious jab at him for staying home most of the time during the off-season, to which Dale Jr. gave a playful reply.
NASCAR concluded the 2024 Cup Series season, and Team Penske #22 driver Joey Logano won his third championship title at Phoenix Raceway on November 10, 2024. On the other hand, Bubba Wallace finished the season in 18th place in the points table.
It's been over a month since the stock car racing season wrapped the season, and everyone is staying home. The #23 Toyota Camry spotter Freddie Kraft is following the same routine, but his wife asked him to make some off-season plans rather than be at home, and he posted it on his X account and wrote:
"We’ve officially reached the point in the offseason where @_megankraft says “is there not somewhere you can go today?” 🤷🏻♂️"
This tweet got the attention of the NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr., and he compared Kraft's situation to his and replied:
"Amy never says that."
Later Kraft showcased his disbelief in Junior's proposition that Amy Earnhardt doesn't mind him staying at home for a longer period of time and making no plans for the off-season. He reacted by sharing a gif:
However, Earnhardt Jr. will not stay home long. He is bringing his iconic #8 number and font for the 2025 Xfinity Series season.
“I can’t wait to see it on the car in Daytona,” Dale Earnhardt Jr. expressed his feeling on the return of #8 and font
Two-time NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Dale Earnhardt Jr. recently spoke about the return of the iconic number 8 and font for the 2025 season in his co-owned team. Junior mentioned that it would be an awesome moment to see the #8 back in action.
Hailing from Kannapolis Dale Jr. is a 50-year-old NASCAR veteran who drove the iconic #8 car in the Chevrolet Cup in the 2000s. Now he uses his number in his team, JR Motorsports, and several drivers drove the number 8 car for the team, including Josh Berry and Dale Earnhardt Jr. himself.
In a post on Instagram shared by JR Motorsports, Dale Jr. expressed his feelings about the return of his number for the next season and said:
"It is awesome to have this number and this front back at JR Motorsports this year."
I can't wait to see it on the car in Daytona. That's going to be a pretty awesome feeling for me personally," Dale Earnhardt Jr. added.
JR Motorsports driver Sammy Smith will drive the #8 Chevy Camaro for the 2025 season. He has been the driver for number 8 since the 2024 season. He recorded seven top-five and 16 top-ten finishes this year. Additionally, Smith won the Talladega Superspeedway race and reached the round of eight during the playoffs.
