Amy Earnhardt, the wife of Dale Earnhardt Jr., praised Tim Dugger’s new album, ‘Stars Over Alabama.’ In an Instagram story, Amy received a PR package from the country artist and posted it along with a “very nice” endorsement.
For the unversed, Amy is a Texas native who married Dale Earnhardt Jr. on New Year’s Eve of 2016. They met in 2009 when the former NASCAR driver contracted Amy and her interior designing firm to work on his Kannapolis home. The couple now share two kids, Isla Rose, 6, and Nicole Lorraine, who just turned four years old a few days ago.
Not to be sidetracked, Amy encouraged her Instagram followers to listen to Tim Dugger’s debut album, which has 13 tracks including the title track ‘Stars Over Alabama.’
“Check out Tim’s new album!” Amy Earnhardt wrote on Instagram.
The mother of two also complimented the new album and tagged the country artist and Sugarlands Shine for sending a jam jar.
“Very nice @tim_dugger @sugarlandsshine!” Earnhardt added.
Tim Dugger is an avid NASCAR fan who has been playing at race weekends for years. His strong connection to the American stock car racing league landed him several pre-race shows. One of his recent shows was at the 2024 Catwalk for a Cause, a charitable fashion show founded by the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation.
The Alabama native is scheduled to play at two of the three races in Round of 8 of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. The first stop will be at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 20, followed by Martinsville Speedway on November 2.
Amy Earnhardt once dismissed Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s favorite sandwich on live TV
Not long after the two tied the knot, Amy and Dale Earnhardt Jr. joined the Dan Patrick Show for a Q&A portion in 2017. When asked about her husband’s favorite sandwich, Amy said she didn’t like Dale’s go-to sandwich, which had banana and mayonnaise.
After recalling Earnhardt Jr.’s favorite sandwich, she said:
“Oh banana mayonnaise?! Yeah, don’t make that. I don’t like those.” [14:38]
The now 50-year-old driver argued that people in the southern region of the US knew what his favorite sandwich was but weren’t big fans of it.
“I think people in the south, Atlanta, New Orleans, I had all kinds of people that knew what it was but anybody north of Virginia or west of Mississippi thought it was the worst idea in the world,” Earnhardt Jr. said. [14:48]
He also justified his favorite sandwich by mentioning the King of Rock and Roll and Mississippi native Elvis Presley’s love for fried banana mayo peanut butter bacon sandwiches.
“Elvis ate banana mayo peanut butter… fried. Deep fry the whole sandwich,” the former driver said. “Pound of bacon too. He had a pound of bacon sandwich that he deep fry. That’s no joke.” [15:06]
Later in the same year, Dale Earnhardt Jr. announced his retirement from the NASCAR Cup Series. He amassed 26 wins in 631 starts throughout a 19-year run in the premier series.
