“I have hated certain surprises”: Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s wife Amy pulls back the curtain on what she ‘didn’t like’ about her husband's surprises
Amy Earnhardt humorously shared her thoughts on Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s surprise-planning skills during a recent Dale Jr. Download podcast episode. The couple, known for their playful dynamic, discussed their approach to surprises in the Earnhardt household, offering fans a glimpse into their relationship ahead of Christmas.
"Dale thinks I hate surprises. I have hated certain surprises that are hard for me, like traveling. I didn't like a surprise when we get ready or about to go out on a trip or whatever, I'm like 'I can't prepare for that'. If he had my backpack and knew what to do and I felt comfortable with that, I would love it," said Amy. (via Dirty Mo Media on X)
"You would not feel comfortable with me packing your bag," Dale Jr. comically responded." What if I said I got a surprise trip and it's tomorrow we're leaving and you have 24 hours to pack. I'd say Amy I've blocked off this week we're going to this town, this is what we're doing, it's planned, kids are taken care of you got 12 hours. Is that exciting?"
Amy agreed to the suggestion, saying that would be better. Responding to her, Dale Jr concluded:
"Okay, now I have a protocol I can follow."
Meanwhile, Bowman Gray Stadium will see Cup Series action for the first time after 1971, as the 2025 campaign will start with the NASCAR Clash at the Winston-Salem racing facility.
