Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife Amy has shared the symbolic countdown about her husband's imminent reunion with Budweiser. The 165-year-old legacy-carrying beer brand will return with the 50-year-old in the iconic red-white paint scheme, at the Florence Motor Speedway on November 23.

On October 22 2024, nearly a month after Dale Jr. fielded his only Xfinity entry of the season at Bristol Motor Speedway, a reunion of the NASCAR Hall of Famer and his former sponsor for nine years was announced. The brand will run with the decades-old paint scheme with the stylized white #8 on a red-black stock car. After 17 years, the duo will rekindle for the South Carolina 400 Late Model race.

Eight days are left for the noteworthy showdown to begin. And ahead of Budweiser's return, Amy shared an Instagram story symbolically depicting the countdown. The symbolizing part can be attributed to the white stylized '8' belonging to Dale Earnhardt Jr. used in the countdown.

Budweiser and Junior ran together from 1999 to 2007 and gained immense popularity during their partnership. Matt Davis, the VP of Partnerships at Anheuser-Busch, Budweiser's parent company, added to it and said the two-time Xfinity Series champion's relationship with their brand has carved a significant place in American history.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. opens up on the "incredible" Budweiser return

After contesting his penultimate Cup Series race in 2017 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, Dale Earnhardt Jr. retired from NASCAR's Premier Level. Nonetheless, he ensured his participation in at least one Xfinity race every year.

The JR Motorsports driver recently got off with the Food City 300 race, finishing seventh after braving radio issues and a pit road speeding penalty. During the same race weekend, Junior spoke about not racing in 2025 and that he would return to the track if the sponsorship deal required him to.

However, a month after his unsettling NASCAR future, Dale Jr. announced that he would return to his Budweiser-sponsored days albeit in a Late Model stock car at Florence Motor Speedway.

“It is an incredible opportunity for me to be able to reunite with Budweiser, and the No. 8. Budweiser and I had some great memories with that iconic scheme and number. We’ve always supported each other over the years. It’s going to be really special for me to be able to represent that brand on the racetrack again,” Junior said via JR Motorsports' official release.

Anheuser-Busch has a long history with NASCAR drivers. They sponsored Kevin Harvick for 13 years, four more than Dale Earnhardt Jr., and announced a partnership with Trackhouse Racing to primary sponsor Ross Chastain under the Busch Light banner.

It's worth mentioning that JR Motorsports launched a nostalgic apparel line for the Budweiser x Dale Jr. collaboration.
