Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife, Amy, has been involved in amassing $15,000 for a noble cause. From her official Instagram account, she shared a charity post to collect funds for supporting the hurricane-affected people of western North Carolina.
On Tuesday, Amy took to the Meta-owned platform to share a video from Montgomeryskyfarm. As seen in the video, the aforementioned farm is actively involved in helping and providing the calamity-stricken people with rations.
Amy shared the video on her Instagram story and inserted a givebutter.com link. Here's a screenshot:
The video that Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s wife shared asked for a $15,000 donation. Here's what the video further added:
"As you shop for gifts and enjoy cozy time at home with your families, please remember the people of WNC are still trying to put their lives back together after the hurricane. We've been there since the beginning with fresh meals, prepared lovingly. Our small team has worked tirelessly for our neighbors to ensure they are fed warm meals. Comforted, shown empathy, and most importantly, reminded that they are not forgotten."
"With your generosity, we've been able to serve over 12,000 of our friends in WNC. As Christmas is upon us, we humbly ask for your help in reaching our goal of $15,000. If only 100 of you donated $25. We would hit our goal. We thank you again for your continued support during this difficult season. Your donation has put smiles on faces and hope in the hearts of WNC."
Notably, Hurricane Helene left significant damage in the majority of the Western North Carolina region. Two months down the line, the local people are still experiencing the effects as blocks of homes, empty apartments, and abandoned cars still rot around the vicinity.
The hurricane killed at least 223 people in total, and more than half of them were from WNC. The federal government sanctioned $500 million for the clean-up process, but it's reportedly barely making any dent. Besides the government, numerous NGOs, backed by donors, have come up to help the affected people of WNC.
