Earnhardt was not surprised that Michael Jordan's driver Tyler Reddick won the playoff race at Homestead. Team Penske's Ryan Baney switched his racing line right before the finish line, allowing Reddick's charging #45 Toyota to pass him and claim his third victory of the season. In an episode of the "Dale Jr. Download" podcast released this week, Dale Earnhardt Jr. said:

"Tyler Redick makes the pass on the outside. Has anybody really saw any kind of a comment from Blaney on what he was thinking about going to the middle track? So when he goes into the corner and you can hear the dejection in his voice if you listen to the in-car(radio), I wonder what after the fact if he thinks he should have ran the fence."

"Every race that I've ever watched there in the Xfinity car and any other car, I see that pass happening nine out of ten times. If the lead car goes into the third lane, middle lane, wherever you want to call that, I'm definitely expecting the car that Redick's driving to make that pass more often than not."

The final Round of 8 race is scheduled for November 3rd at Martinsville Speedway, where six of eight playoff drivers, including Reddick's team owner Denny Hamlin, will fight for two remaining seats in the final four.

Meanwhile, Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s JR Motorsports has three of four of their drivers competing for two remaining spots for the Xfinity Series' final four. Justin Allgaier leads the pack and is the only JRM driver above the Championship 4 cut-off line.
