Jeffrey Earnhardt, grandson of racing icon Dale Earnhardt, recently announced adding two more races to his NASCAR schedule. He will be racing the No. 26 Toyota GR Supra for Team SHR26 at Michigan International Speedway and Phoenix Raceway.
Earnhardt currently races part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and Truck Series. After leaving JD Motorsports in 2021, he joined Sam Hunt Racing and currently drives both the #24 and #26 cars. He also had a notable run with the No. 3 car for Richard Childress Racing, a number made famous by his grandfather, Dale Earnhardt.
Earnhardt is excited about his upcoming races - which will expand his shedule from four to six events - and his partnership with Synergy Modular.
“Excited to announce we are adding two more races in the 26 with @Team_SHR26 . Very excited about our partnership with Synergy Modular for next weekend @MISpeedway and @phoenixraceway . Can’t thank these guys enough for the opportunity and ready to be back on track!!!,” he said on Twitter.
Synergy Modular, which began sponsoring Sam Hunt Racing this season, will support Jeffrey Earnhardt in two more races. They have also sponsored the No. 26 Toyota Supra in races at Dover, Portland, and Sonoma with drivers Corey Heim, Sage Karam, and Ed Jones.
The two events at Michigan International Speedway and the season-finale at Phoenix Raceway are scheduled for August 17 and November 9.
Earnhardt was set to race full time with Alpha Prime Racing last year but switched to select races after July. Despite a tough season, he achieved a career-best second-place finish in the No. 3 car.
Jeffrey Earnhardt's time off racing
In another recent tweet, Jeffrey Earnhardt shared how he’s spending some time away from racing.
NASCAR is currently on a two-week break to make room for the Paris Olympics. Jeffrey is making the most of it by going noodling with his friends: it is a type of hand-fishing. He shared pictures of himself with catfishes that he caught.
"Just trying to pass the time with good friends doing things I love till I’m back in the car. Noodling seasons slowing down and they weren’t that big but it’s honest work, " Jeffrey wrote.
Earnhardt finished eighth at Atlanta in his return to Sam Hunt Racing in 2024. The No. 26 team has had four top-10 finishes this season. The team is 18th in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Owner Points.
