NASCAR driver Jeffrey Earnhardt, the grandson of late legend Dale Earnhardt and nephew of Dale Jr., recently shared pictures from his New York hunting trip with friends.

The 35-year-old raced part-time in the Xfinity Series this season in the No. 26 Toyota GR Supra for Sam Hunt Racing and earned a top-10 finish at Atlanta in February. He also raced MBM Motorsports' No. 67 Toyota Tundra in one Truck Series race.

Jeffrey loves the outdoors and often shares photos of his hunting and fishing trips on Instagram. In the latest post, he was seen holding the antlers of a buck he hunted.

"Big Buck down in NY at @doma723 Big Red Barn," Earnhardt wrote.

Jeffrey also caught a wild boar a few weeks back.

"Pretty successful weekend putting some pork in the freezer with plenty of celebration @outlawbeer after the hunt. Can’t wait to process some breakfast sausage," he wrote in a previous post.

The Mooresville native will return to NASCAR next year with his long-time sponsor, ForeverLawn. Earnhardt also launched the "Jeffrey Earnhardt Racing Experience" last month. The program lets fans drive race cars at 13 local tracks.

"Trying to find all the money to put all that together is the biggest factor" - Jeffrey Earnhardt on funding struggles

Jeffrey Earnhardt has raced for different teams during his 12-year career in the Xfinity Series, including Go Green Racing and JD Motorsports. His best finish came in 2022 at Talladega, where he finished second.

Earnhardt left JD Motorsports after the 2021 season and joined Sam Hunt Racing to race part-time in the No. 24 and No. 26 cars. His sponsor, ForeverLawn, stayed with him. In 2022, he also raced for Emerling-Gase Motorsports and Richard Childress Racing, driving the famous No. 3 car driven by his grandfather, Dale Earnhardt.

The 2007 Busch East Series Most Popular Driver split his time between the No. 44 and No. 45 cars at Alpha Prime Racing last year. During a 2023 interview, he talked about the struggles of funding a race car and said:

"Like anything, it's about money. You've got to have the funding. I've been blessed to have the partners I have with ForeverLawn, Gas POS, Dalstrong...Just been very blessed with partners I have, but you know it's a big expense and trying to find all the money to put all that together is the biggest factor" (02:20 onwards).

He also talked about racing for his uncle, Dale Jr. at JR Motorsports.

"Obviously, you know it'd be a pretty cool opportunity to get to go drive for him and to be in a competitive car like that every weekend would be pretty fun," he added.
