Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick was given the honor of becoming the guest moderator for Vice Presidential Nominee, Senator JD Vance’s Town Hall in Greensboro, North Carolina. She retired from racing in 2018 and has been an ardent supporter of Donald Trump ever since.
Patrick transitioned to NASCAR in 2010 after a successful run in the IndyCar Series. During her seven-year NASCAR career, she competed in 191 Cup Series races with Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR). She earned seven top-10 finishes, with her best showing at the 2013 Daytona 500 (P8), and made history as the first woman to lead laps in the iconic race.
Considered an icon in Motorsports as a female athlete, Patrick has been an inspiration for women across the globe, who are working hard to secure a career in racing. Meanwhile, her unwavering support for Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump has landed her a special appearance for Vice Presidential Nominee, Senator JD Vance’s Town Hall in Greensboro, NC.
The statement released also critiqued the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris' efforts to help the people of the tar heel state, following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene.
"Kamala Harris has completely failed the people of North Carolina. Not only has she released historic inflation and a flood of criminal illegal immigrants onto them, but she completely left North Carolinians behind in the wake of devastation post-Hurricane Helene. Harris' failures have placed a huge burden on taxpayers, and it shows how little she cares about the well-being of Tar Heel State families," the statement read.
The Town Hall, where Danica Patrick will act as guest moderator, will be held at the Koury Convention Center at Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons.
"Those things are really different": Danica Patrick outlines biological differences and why men shouldn't compete in women's sports
Danica Patrick has been one of the few female athletes to have had a professional NASCAR career. Her experience has aided her in understanding the stark differences between men and women as athletes. She shared her thoughts on why sports are differentiated by gender.
In a recent reel posted on Instagram, Codie Sanchez, a well-known figure on Wall Street, was in conversation with Danica Patrick, where the former NASCAR driver said:
"I was a girl in a guy's sport. There are some true hormonal physiological reasons why men should not compete in women's sports. When it comes to strength, when it comes to power, size, those things are really different. Men have at least 10 times the testosterone that women do, which is something that helps build lean muscle mass and gives you size and mass and power, it's totally unfair," she said.
Moreover, Patrick also backed comments made on Kamala Harris' voters by controversial social media star Andrew Tate, where he called them "stupid" and "dumb".
